Spring activities with students from Spain

Spring has arrived to Calabria. I was lucky enough to meet Miguel and Aaron, two Spanish students from the IES Emilio Muñoz high school in Granada, who were attending a project on environment and agriculture organized by ARPA and JUMP.

I joined them and Pasquale from ARPA to a visit and educative walk in an olive and orange garden near Soverato Marina. As Miguel and Aaron (together with their teacher Amalia) were attending a project called Future Rural Manager in Europe, they both have practical knowledge about agriculture and farming. This is why they knew why and how should be the branches of the olive trees cut – and spent several hours working on these improvements.
